The easiest method for you to do so is to buy a copy of 10.5 Leopard. The Leopard disk will allow you to upgrade from 10.3.9 to 10.5.4. You can get a copy at http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB427Z/A?mco=MTMyOTM

If you must have 10.4 Tiger, you can get a copy from Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Mac-Tiger-10-4-6-VERSION/dp/B000BWZZLG/ref=pd_bbs_3?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1216621804&sr=8-3

but it will cost you more for Tiger than it would for Leopard.

If there is anything else I can help with, please respond.
