The only way to open the door in order to remove the door trim panel without damaging it, is to use a slim jim tool to slip between the window glass and the outer door to catch the latch actuating rod and open the latch by pull up on the rod. As far as I know, slim jims are not sold at parts stores because of liability issues. This means you will need to call a locksmith to come out and open the door.
