Okay with the light flashing this is telling us that there is a malfunction code stored .
What you have to do is get the stored codes .
Here is what you have to do to get stored codes .
attached is a diagram showing you which buttons to press .
With the buttons AUTO and R/F pressed switch on the ignition .
will flash for 4 seconds then start codes .
will indicate a code like 17 , 21 etc.
Get me the codes so i can help you diagnose this problem if needed.
Check the connection on the compressor and pressure switch you may have knocked off the wiring when replacing the belt ?
This should not cause the compressor not to work .
Disconnect the battery for ten minutes and then retry.
Yes if any sensor is disconnected when the battery is still connected then this will set a code .
To clear codes disconnect the battery for 10 minutes reconnect and check for codes .
