I was driving my GS 400 when I smelled burning, by the time I got it home the alt fusible link had melted. WTF! I just bought the car

JA: Are you fixing your GS yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing much, just tried to remove the box

Hello and welcome to just answer and allowing me to assist you.Not being there to actually see your problem I'll rely on your input so I may get a better picture so I may help you.There will be a reason why this fuse link blew, it is the main power link .Was the vehicle ever boosted or jumped? how bad is the melting , is there any other wiring melted in that harness? This fuse able link is not easy to replace as it is held in by two 8mm bolts under neath.
