Customer Question

how do you get to the light failure sensor? Is it behind a plastice panel inside the back of the car or do we have to take something apart?
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: brake light not coming on but light up when headlights are lit.
JA: What is the model/year of your Lexus?
Customer: 2002 rx 300 mechanic said lights are fine.
JA: Are you fixing your RX 300 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: brought to mecahnic and they seem to be guessing. put in a brake light switch and didnn't help. said fuse is good. they googled and now say the sensor but it is labor intensive to take it out of the back of the car. Is that true?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no just want to know how difficult it is to get to the sensor

The Light Failure Sensor is behind the Driver Rear Side Panel & it does take some time to remove
IF you have never worked on Interior, you may want a Shop familiar with your Lexus to do the job
The Sensor is located between the Fuel Door & the Left Rear Light
