when the battery is disconnected, the computer loses its adaptive memory, for the idle control and needs to relearn the settings, this take s a few driving cycles for the idle to return to normal, I have seen it take 3 or 4 driving cycle to relearn the adaptives, was it idling normal before replacing the battery?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If it idled fine before the battery was disconnected then the problem is indeed most likely with idle air control memory. in some cases a scan tool is needed to reset memory and allow it to idle correctly.

Is the problem still present now?
