Customer Question

Customer: I have a 2007 lexus gs 350, the battery died. I placed a new battery and the radio does not work. It only says audio off
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: I've read that I may need to type a code into my radio and that it's in the owners manual but i've read the whole thing and can't find it anywhere. i'm hoping it's an easy fix as I don't want to get charged a lot of money to take it to the dealership when it's something that I can fix on my own
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $18) to post your type of question to Lexus Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?
Customer: sure
JA: OK. Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.
Customer: I thought I only pay if i'm satisfied

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

In order to get the code you need you are going to need to contact your dealer with proof of ownership as well as providing your vin number and they can supply you with the code you need. Unfortunately this code is not available in this forum. You can usually do this with out having to take the car in.

I took it to the dealer and they wanted a deposit to even diagnose it. They did say that the 2007 does not require a code. I also checked all the fuses and they are all working correctly. The steering wheel buttons and the radio do not work.
