Hello again. I am truly sorry that you have these legal problems, and I hope that I can provide some useful information.
It may or may not be difficult to get the president to understand that Fannie and Freddie loans can be conventional loans. It sounds like he may not understand what Fannie and Freddie do, and so you may want to ask for a sit-down meeting with him where you can explain that Fannie and Freddie buy mortgages from lenders to free up their capital, and that he seems to be confusing Fannie and Freddie with FHA or VA, which allows homeowners to buy with less of a down payment (which I assume he finds undesirable). It may be worthwhile to explain this to other board members as well so that they can talk to the president. Ultimately, I suppose whether or not he understands depends on his stubbornness and whether he chooses to educate himself, or stubbornly sticks to his beliefs. Some people just refuse to look at issues objectively.
