Involves sale of property include in estate to be the provision for heirs. If you are legal trustee do you need to also have POA (had one dated '09 for brother - he passed last April) They are saying I need a current one, notarized when I placed property in Trust. He was alive; passed 6 days later. I delivered the documents to county and when identifying I said POA as it had applied in many prior instances. They say I needed a "current, notarized POA doc" that 2009 assignment (notarized) would not work. His trust was all notarized and in effect 2016 the house we waited on until he made his final decision.
