It'll take a second to type sorry. So I have a dog that I
so I have a dog that I got with one of my friends. She signed the paperwork bc we were in college and I didn't want my parents to flip. The guy I had just started dating at the time was like “let me reimburse you so he can be your Valentine's Day gift” and I said no it's fine he can be ours and he said no I want him to be your gift. So eventually we agreed to both pay half. 175 each. So two years later we broke up and along the way we would have fights and he was doing some psychotic and stalker things that were scaring me a lot. So there were a couple of times where I was like I guess just keep the dog bc im too scared to be around you or one time he showed up pounding on my door saying to give him the dog and he wasn't leaving until I did (knowing my parents weren't home) and I genuinely was scared so I had to open the door and let the dog out to him and lock it quickly. Then about a month later after going back and forth with custody he just took him one day and never gave him back and we got in another fight and he was being cruel so I said I guess keep him since you're being so hateful and vindictive and then be very soon after begged for him bad telling him I'd pay him or do give him anything he wanted or get him a new dog bc I took care of him the most. Well during all the time we were together he would hold the dog over my head and say “well I guess you can't break up with me or you'll never see the dog again” and his dad got weirdly obsessed with the dog so he would literally give the dog to his dad weeks at a time which caused a LOT of fighting for us bc he was MY dog. So they paid for a chip and some of the vet bills but I paid for the initial bills and I had my friend sign a transfer of ownership form so the adoption papers are in MY name. Does he have a case against me if we got a warrant to get the dog? And if we got a warrant can it be confidential as to who is getting the dog? … read more
