My friend does not insurance. He is 66. He has previously worked for 45 years, and paid into social security. He had been currently diagnosed with cancer. He tried to get Medicare ASAP. He was told he had to wait until open enrollment. Is this correct? He was given three to six months to live without treatment. He is currently on worker’s compensation and dues not qualify for Medicaid. Please help.
