We had contracted for a cruise in Europe that was supposed to occur in 2020, but was cancelled due to COVID. The cruise line would not refund our money and deferred the cruise until this year. We do not feel comfortable travelling during the pandemic and requested a refund through our insurance. They again refuse and want to defer until next year. We want to cancel and get a full refund.

JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: We contacted Vacations to Go who we purchased the trip from including airfare. They relayed that the line would only defer our cruise.

Customer: Only that we are very disappointed in Vacations to Go.

I had a checking account for my minor daughter set up over 10 years ago, so she could deposit her pay while underage. A couple of years later, she stopped using it, but I maintained it for my own use for the last several years, even through the account’s transfer upon a bank merger/ buyout. Fast forward to 2017, my son passed, I collected a sum of money from a wrongful death suit, deposited in this account. My ( same) daughter, now married with her own separate accounts talks me into moving to California with her where there are no brick and mortar branches, so I allow her to renew her status , as a signor on my account in event of emergency. Within a few months, she threw me out of her home and 4 days later, paid off her vehicle with my money, about $9500.00 and as soon as I saw this transaction, I contacted bank to stop any further transactions by her. Over the following week, she proceeded to transfer over $40,000., leaving me with very little. I tried filing police report. Came back to home State, tried to resolve at the Branch I had my account based, etc and haven’t been able to resolve this.Anything else I can do?
JA: Have you talked to a CA lawyer about this?
Customer: Yes, in CA. The fee was too high and he said although I had a solid claim, it could take years to resolve
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Contacting bank several times. Emailed bank several times. Came back to Florida and tried to resolve at my home bank because they told me via phone call that was the only place I could resolve it, and they said they would be in touch in a few weeks but never were. I filed a police report in CA but the D.A. didn’t want to prosecute. Emails to several news media outlets. Most recently, emails with Federal banking regulators, but feel like I’m getting the runaround

Customer: I don’t have a lot of money to pay fees. This has implications in more than 1state.

Customer: Refused to pay and talked to them a million times but not anymore because it doesnt go anywhere. They dont even listen to me.

Customer: They are harrassing me. call many times a day but it doesnt do any good for me to talk to them, they dont listen. Amt has gotten up to over $500. bynow. I couldnt pay them if i wanted to.
