Roland is my name in California. No are you ready?
I have recently found out that a person I have had both protected and unprotected sex with has been lying to me about having the HPV virus. After finding out accidentally that she had HPV from her ex-husband I confronted her about it. She said, "I don't have it any longer, I had cervical cancer in 2017." For months she kept telling me she no longer had the HPV virus. Not knowing much about HPV, I came to find out the facts. I did the right thing and got a 10-panel test on Friday, Jan 24, 2020. Test results came back on Monday, Jan 26, 2020, positive for HSV-1 and HSV-2. All other tests were negative. I showed her the information I found online which stated a person has this virus for life. I asked to confirm that she no longer had HPV with her doctor, and she told me that yes she still has the HPV virus. I asked to go get the 10-panel STD test and I would pay for it. She made an appointment for the next day, Jan. 27, 2020 but failed to go. I found out that in California, "Anyone who has any kind of infectious, communicable, or contagious disease in California commits a crime if that person exposes him or herself to others. This crime is punishable as a misdemeanor offense. You also commit this crime if you knowingly expose someone else whom you know has such a disease to other people." (California Health and Safety Code section 120290.) I told her that I was going to fie a complaint with the Police Department and the Health Department. Yesterday I had someone leave temporary restraining orders at my front door. I have a court hearing date of March 3, 2020. She is claiming I am harrassing her about getting tested. I have never had a Police incident with this woman. I have not threatened her, abused her and I have no criminal charges pending. She is doing this because she knows that she has been in violation of (California Health and Safety Code section 120290.) and I was going to file a compalint with the Police. My question is what do I do next?… read more
