I am an RN working at a VA. I suffer from depression and have had to take sick leave for the issue. I have felt ostracized by my manager and have recently been asked to sign a document with dates that he has spoken with me about his concerns about my use of sick leave. I have reported on multiple occasions that the continued additions to my workload are causing extraordinary stress and that the workload is unmanageable. I am suffering from burnout and feel like a failure when I cannot meet unreasonable workload demands. I am struggling with an exacebation of depression and anxiety and took 3 days off last week with a not from my provider. I also turned in FMLA documents from my provider when I came back this week.
