Sorry, hit in error. Most who live here are over 55, on fixed income and have been here for years. If we elect not to renew our lease they are charging $200 month to month for this option! We were never informed of this. I believe it has been in effect over one year. Originally, after you were here one year, it cost nothing. I found notices I have from previous Managers informing us of $25 mtm, then $50 mtm. We are informed when we go to office to drop off paper. … read more

I'm a college student who is having an issue with an
I'm a college student who is having an issue with an apartment complex. I signed a physical copy of the lease in January of 2019 but then decided I wanted to cancel. When I talked to staff, they told me I needed to sign it electronically and save my room but since I didn't I was okay. Soon after I started receiving many emails from this apartment complex that we're saying, “Renew your ease now” and “our records indicate you have not renewed your lease.” The conversation I had with a staff member and these emails gave me peace of mind and led me to believe I was free so I signed another lease with a different apartment complex. Before I moved out, I received an email from the apartment complex I'm having an issue with that said, “Don't forget move in day is…” So I freaked out and called to clear this situation up. I was told AGAIN by a staff member that he didn't see a lease under my file. When I emailed the leasing coordinator back to let her know, she, along with area manager insisted I am still obligated to abide by the physical copy lease (even though I was told otherwise in the beginning) and am now responsible for paying rent for this apartment for another whole year as well as for the apartment rent that I'm living in now. Had I not been receiving these emails and had staff told me otherwise, I would've never signed another lease. I'm wondering what my options are at this point and I'd appreciate any help/advice. Thank you. … read more
