Thank you for the information.

If he wants to give you Power of Attorney, then you would need to obtain proper forms and have him sign in front of a Notary Public. You can use the following sites to obtain Power of Attorney forms. The Notary Public is available at the hospital. You need to contact the Patient Advocate Department for assistance. There should be a Notary Public there.

As for leaving you the house, he can have someone prepare a new Deed transferring title from him to you. You can use the old Deed as sample. The only difference would be the Grantor and Grantees along with the amount of consideration. In this case it should be less than a dollar since he is giving the property to you as a gift. The new Deed must be signed in front of Notary Public. If a new Deed cannot be done, then he needs to do a simple Will giving you all of his assets. The Will must be witnessed and notarized.

You can use the following site to obtain Power of Attorney and Will forms:

uslegalforms.com

lawdepot.com

lawguru.com

The hospital's patient advocate department may also have Power of Attorney forms.

Best wishes,

A positive rating to my response is appreciated so that I can receive credit for responding to your post. There is no additional cost to you for giving a positive rating.
