I am dealing with the death (suicide) of our eldest son,
I am dealing with the death (suicide) of our eldest son, Nov. 17, 2017. In researching what to do with his estate I find that, including pension, IRA, life insurance and trust benefit fund, his estate is underwater by $5,500. Here is my question, Eric owned two condos, one in Las Vegas and a second-home condo in Columbia, MO. Do the lending institutions take all of his assets to repay all that can be applied to the condo loans, or can I turn the condos back over to the lending institutions. He has one $3,800 second mortgage and $3800 personal loan and about $3,000 in medical bills. Or do I just give up on this? I can't apply for any of the funds without court order stating I am the responsible party. I can go through probate for a person with less than $100,000. Helen … read more
