Ask a Lawyer and Get Answers to Your Legal Questions
Hello! I am a licensed attorney, admitted to practice in state and federal court. I have a nearly 100% satisfaction rating so all that means is that you can count on me to help today. What you will need to do is fill out a petition to modify/rescind the restraining order. If you copy and paste the link below, print out the doc, fill it out, and file it in the court where the restraining order is currently, it’ll go to the judge and they will either approve or deny the petition.
Also, although I provided an initial answer, it’s important that you are 100% satisfied. If you feel I have done so, please rate me 5 stars and let me know if you have any follow up questions. As a side note, you can also click here in the future to request me individually.
You might have to go before a judge if a judge requests a hearing. Also, it's impossible to tell whether a judge would be able to do it before the hearing on Wednesday, but it is probable. If it is approved, you will be sent something in the mail or you can check it online.
