My name is***** work for an oil company. We delivered several thousands of gals of oil to a company that bounced checks and ended up walking away from debt. Twist to the story no PG and company filed for bankruptcy but we were not listed and the checks that were returned were not drawn from the company that filed bankruptcy..... do I have a chance in filing a against the owner seeing that he knew checks were going to bounce and the name on the checks is not the same as the bankrupt company?

Normally the claim is against the contracting party. That said, you can pursue an owner individually where basis for the claim is not contract but fraud and misrepresentations made by him individually. I can suggest further some options for preparing a claim.
