There are no laws in your state to criminalize the assistance of suicide, which is the statute under which most suicide-encouraging persons are charged in the various states where you will occasionally hear about this type of thing. That being said, there's a wide variance in "causing" someone to commit suicide, and the lack of such suicide assistance law in your state may not per se void anyone from ever being charged for manslaughter or otherwise in such an instance given various possible fact patterns that could occur, which are really beyond anyone's speculation.
