Did you file a police report when they were stolen? Were these items insured?

the maneger would not give the # on the items for me to report them..she said she lanlord said they was no way i can prove it

If the items were stolen and your rental was broken into, the police should have been called and a report should have been made, so this is documented. As far as jail, this is a civil issue, not criminal, so if this was a rent to own or rental type company, they could sue you for the money which you owe but it would not amount to criminal charges being filed.
