I received a small claims paper from a debt collector

Customer Question

I received a small claims paper from a debt collector wanting money that was not my debt. I tossed it. Now they have taken $2291.66 from my bank account without any notice. The original sum was only for $492.22.
JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Oregon, lane county
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I received the papers 11-29-16
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: The Plaintiff put 3 names on the papers. 2 are mine and the third is my Sons name.

Was the paper you received a judgment? Were you named and sued in a lawsuit? Who did the debt belong to and why did they name you?
