I am filing pro se in the US Court of Appeals for the DC

Customer Question

I am filing pro se in the US Court of Appeals for the DC circuit on a civil matter, contesting an agency regulation. I will need help in preparing the necessary paper work in order to avoid obvious amateur pro se litigant mistakes. I cannot afford an attorney, and the issue is of broad importance.
JA: Have you discussed this with a manager, HR, or an attorney?
Customer: Yes, they have confirmed to me my initial estimate that the case might involve upwards to 1000 hours of attorney time. More specifically, the case has already been litigated, and decided against the agency in question, so the issue is whether the regulation published by the agency in response to the courts order complies with the same.
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I have filed my petition for review with the DC circuit court of appeals, they are now asking me to submit a docketing statement and other material.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: I need a lawyer (preferably retired) who is willing to assist me on a pro bono basis.

Pro bono, as in for free?

I'm afraid so.

Well, I'm retired, but I don't do free. So, I guess I'm not your huckleberry.

I will reopen the question for anyone else who may wish to assist. Best wishes.
