my question is if I rent and apartment and I am the only person on the lease but I rent out the extra rooms in the apartment and I give my landlord a notice that I am moving what does that mean for the people I rent to

Because the other people are not on the lease, they have no rights as to living in the apartment. As a result, they are required to leave once you stop the lease. The only way around this is if the landlord agrees to sign a new lease with the other people that you have been renting rooms to.
