Customer Question

I have been served with a summons concerning a property my Great aunt sold over 40 years ago and was recording inccorectly. A letter to the plantiff states that we still own the property. The Attorney want us to sign a Quit Claim and be done with it. The document I was served with is like 200 hundred pages...seems like a lot for a simple request.
JA: Because real estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: florida
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I was just served two days ago, Thei rAttorney E-Filed the case 8/18/16
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just wanting to know If we have any interest in pursuing the issue

Thank you for using JustAnswer.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Can you tell me if the summons says the phrase "in rem" anywhere in the first few pages (where it's talking about who is being sued / served / etc...)?
