Customer Question

I own a dog daycare business. A dog while staying over at my facility started running a high temp and seemed unstable. My protocol is to take them immediately to their family vet. After a few hours at the vets they had to put the dog down. The family is now suing me for $7000 claiming i cased the death of their dog.
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: OH Im sorry Massachusetts
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: The dog officer came to my facility as well as the MSPCA Officer. Neither one of them filed a report because they found nothing wrong with my facility and nothing wrong with the way the dog was treated.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: The vet also never got in touch with me which they do if they feel that the illness or the death was caused by something I had done wrong

I am sorry for this dilemma. But not sure I understand your specific question. Do you have a question regarding this? Are you asking what the family would have to prove to succeed in a lawsuit?
