This is Cher, the first Expert who answered your question re: replacing a possibly lost Global Entry card. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience with the other information you received, after my answer. There is a big difference between 'replacement' of the Global Entry Card and 'renewal' of the card.
You inquired regarding replacing your possibly lost card and I provided that information for you.
There is no reason to go to an enrollment center, except under these circumstances, which I provided in my initial answer: The card replacement may require an interview appointment at an enrollment center if there are changes made to the account when requesting the card.
The amount to replace your card is $25, but the amount to renew your card is $100, the same as when you first applied (if you included TSA Precheck), so if your expiration date is not within the next 6-12 months, the $25 replacement fee for a lost card is well worth it.
I hope this clarified everything re: replacement of a GOES card!
