Customer Question

My mother passed in May 2016 is it necessary to probate a trust will?
JA: Since estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: Texas, It was registered with the courts.
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: Not yet
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that she had a will then she did a trust. Which should I go by?

I apologize; I was unable to access your question because it was locked;

Can you tell me if the will is a pour over will, or if there is one legal document (a will) and then another legal document (the trust).

Also was property that was listed in the trust actually transferred to the trust (for example, a deed to a house is held in the trust's name, versus the individual owner's name)?
