Is a Type 3 (porta potty) allowed on a sail boat? The sailboat is moored in a bay at Cape Coral Florida.

you can use the Type 3 MSD. However, federal law says that untreated sewage can NOT be discharged in inland or coastal waters. This means the sewage from a portable toilet or a Type III holding tank can not be discharged unless you are in the ocean more than 3 miles offshore. And so you need to be sure you are using onshore pump-out services.
