Father who has Alzheimer disease. He has been in an

Customer Question

I am POA for my father who has Alzheimer disease. He has been in an independent living facility but due to depression and suicide threats last week he is now in a psychiatric my knowledge at the mercy of the doctors, state of Virginia, and acceptance by a qualified facility that will provide mandated 24/7 care. His monthly income is a pension and social security. He has no assets left. The cost of Memory Care will take about all of his income each month. He has a IRS debt from 2011 (payment 400.00 per month) and we have had to pay appromixately 4000.00 this year and last for federal and state taxes owed. How do we pay for his care and manage the existing IRS Debt and taxes potentially owed from insufficient withholding?
