I bought a car from a local dealer, the finance company

Customer Question

I bought a car from a local dealer, the finance company financed it. The dealer did not officially own it and the owner has repossessed it? What can I do?

So you were current on the payments and the dealer did not pay off the previous owner they bought it from? You can sue the dealer for breach of contract. I would also contact your state consumer protection agency and complain about the dealer. They may be able to help you.
