We have been sub contracted to install solar arrays on

Customer Question

We have been sub contracted to install solar arrays on residential homes in San Antonio. We have about 17 homes remaining, and the company who contracted us to install owes us about $60,000 and is refusing to pay, as they claim that they do not have the money that they have already collected from the customers. We'd like to send letters to the 17 remaining customers stating that the primary contracting company is delinquent in payment and that we cannot install their projects until we've been paid.

There should be no issue with doing that so long as there is no language in your contract with the company that prohibits you from contacting the homeowners. You are also entitled to place liens on their properties.
