There's a scam that's been going on for years where you get a recording saying that you're part of a class action suit settlement. If you call them back they tell you you're getting money back from the suit, and then they phish for your personal information and ask you for up front money to get your "settlement." Actually none of it is real.

If your daughter were really being sued, or if she were part of a class action settlement, a robo call is not the way she'd find out. She'd be personally served with a summons in the first instance and sent a letter from lawyers in the second.

You can tell your daughter about it, but she shouldn't call them back. She'd be walking right into some kind of a scam.
