How do I file a mechanics lein on a vehicle in Minnesota. My

Customer Question

How do I file a mechanics lein for labor on a vehicle in Minnesota. My husband work many hours on a wrecker for a former friend and has never been paid. In Sept. 2015 this former friend was arrested and is looking at long term incarceration. His wife has sent someone out to our home to take the wrecker, we wouldn't let them take it. Now yesterday 2/27/2016 his sister sent some people here to get the wrecker again we did not let them take it. Both the wife and sister know that my husband wasn't paid for the work he has done. What rights do we have? What can we do to secure our interest in this vehicle.?
