Customer Question

I am a retired NYC teacher. I and my wife became members of a catastrophe plan with a 15K deductible. It runs for 5 years and then must be renewed with new expenses. Almost any doctor ordered expense weather paid by other insurance or us can be counted to the deductible. My wife no longer pays premiums because she doesn't have to as the insurance is active. The union(NYSUT) is now making it very difficult and virtually impossible to reactivate the insurance when it runs out in 2018. How can a lawyer help in the process?

What are they doing to make it so hard to renew? Have you sought to engage your own health advocate to assist with the paperwork?
