We don't have debtor's prison in the US. You cannot get arrested for the failure to pay a civil debt, and any debt collection company who calls you and threatens you with jail is doing something unlawful under the Fair Debt Collection Pratices Act. If the collection agency that threatens you with jail is reported to the Federal Trade Commission they can be fined $1,000 for that sort of harassment.
The only debt for which you can be imprisoned in this country is if you fail to pay your child support, but that is because the failure to make support payments once they have been ordered is a felony.
