Customer Question

I RENT A HOME AND RECENTLY DISCOVERED IT HAS MOLD IN THE BASEMENT. MY LANDLORD REFUSES TO REMOVE IT AND BLAMES US FOR IT. HE TOLD US TO START LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PLACE. IS THIS LEGAL? MY SON WHO HAD HIS ROOM IN THE BASEMENT HAS BEEN COUGHING AND SICK AND NOW HE HAS AN IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT AND IS SEEING A CARDIOLOGIST TONIGHT. HE HAS BEEN IN THE BASEMENT FOR TWO YEARS AND I THINK THATS WHY HE IS HAVING PROBLEMS. WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THE LANDLORD?WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS I HAVE NO LEASE.

Hi! My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you!
Can you provide me a bit more information? Do you know what is causing the mold? And, what is it the landlord thinks you have done to cause it? Thanks.
