Customer Question

I'm pretty sure my father did not sign my sister, who was power of attorney as a beneficiary of one of his checking accounts, especially because he was hospitalized around the time he supposedly assigned her as beneficiary. What legal procedure can I do to verify this?

Is your father still living? If not, is there a personal representative of his estate?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
My dad passed away last year . There's no will. My brother was named executor . He is not helping and has not moved anything- he's possibly involved . How can a sister and I get information?

There's nothing you can do that won't require getting a lawyer involved. A lawyer will know how to subpoena the bank account records so they can be audited. It must be done within the estate proceeding, and there is some complicated law involved.
