im in ny and i just noticed going through my papers that i have a judgement against me in 2008 for a credit card that i did not pay on since 1999...can they legally have a judgement against me 9 years later...didnt the SOL run out on that?

The staute of limitations only means they have to file the lawsuit against you within a certain amount of time. Once they do that, the statute of limitations becomes irrevelant. However, a judgement against you must be collected within 20 years (10 years + a renewal of 10 years, if they file it), or else the judgment expires and they can no longer collect.
