Fred, who is 15 years old senior high school student, contracted with tailor Jacob, to sew him 10 piece suits for Christmas. Tailor has delivered the suits to Jacob who has failed to pay for the suits. tailor Jacob has approached you for advice. He wants to sue Fred to recover his money. what would be your advice to him?

The tailor here is most likely out of luck. Since the other party is a minor, a minor can void contracts before their age of majority (adulthood) unless it is for a necessity. Suits are generally not a necessity. Hence, he really cannot sue the minor for his losses. The two potential avenues here may be if he was unaware of the age of the client, and if this was a specialized order--on that basis he may sue the parents or guardians as a means of recouping his losses by claiming that as this is not 'fungible' (easily able to be sold to someone else) but is instead custom work, the parents are responsible for reimbursement.
