I want to know if a hotel can evict me and hold my property for police. This was done hours prior to checkout time. Police wanted consent to search and I refused. They had hotel evict us and wouldn't let us take our property.

The hotel is not a government agency, so they do not have to worry about your rights under the fourth amendment. That is, they are allowed to come into your room without a warrant. If made aware of potential illegal activity, they can evict you from the hotel and hold your property for the police if requested by them to do so, long enough for the police to get a warrant.
