While sitting in a parked vehicle, outside a concert venue, undercover officers approached the car and asked everyone inside to step out and take an alcohol breathalizer. There was no alcohol in the car. Is this action legal?
Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to answer your question.

I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.

All that police officers are required is a reasonable suspicion, which is easy to show / prove, in order to ask occupants of a parked vehicle to step out of the vehicle and to check the occupants for id's and to administer a breathylizer test to any vehicle occupants suspected of drinking, if the occupants are underage minors.

I wish you the best of luck and please let me know if you have any related follow up questions.
