I received a letter from Farmers Insurance asking me to sign

This answer was rated:

I received a letter from Farmers Insurance asking me to sign a document indicating that they would be the Attorney-in-fact and that this requirement is part of our policy.

What does this mean?

Thank you for the information and your question. That is a standard document and it is necessary for the insurance company to represent your interests should you get have to file a claim against another party or they file one against you. It includes legal representation of you should you be sued for an accident (or whatever the insurance covers).
