Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to answer your question.

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation.

When did this happen?

How old is your daughter?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

My daughter is 19 and she was at the lake of the Ozarks , Mo. with a group from Mizzou and there was a party

Thank you for your follow up.

Unfortunately, your daughter has been charged with a misdemeanor crime.

The first conviction for such misdemeanor would subject your daughter to a fine of up to $300 upon conviction, but if your daughter is charged again and is convicted of any subsequent same offense, she would be subject to up to 1 year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

It is a good idea for your daughter to consult and retain a local criminal defense attorney who might be able to get this criminal charge either dismissed on some legal technicality or at least reduce it to a non-criminal violation.

I wish you and your daughter the best of luck!
