If a motion is made and passed to have a vendor handle the association hotel bookings, tour trips and all other matters pertaining to a reunion. No contract signed to date only verbal agreement to vendor that he will be given the business. Subsequent to this, information has been obtained indicating actions taken by vendor during other reunions are not the way things should be done and vendor was receiving excdessive revenue and also provided poor service at reunions. Since board meetings are basically e-mail to e-mail keeping all membes involved, can a motion be made to recind previous action (approving motion). This will allow time to investigate accusations, discuss issues and take a new vote.

Welcome! My goal is to do my very best to understand your situation and to provide a full and complete answer for you.

Good afternoon. As long as there has been no signed contract, the association is free to rescind the motion. The motion is simply an internal vote within the association giving the association the right to enter into the contract with the vendor. Until the contract with the vendor has been agreed upon and signed by all parties, the motion has no legal relevance.
