When buying a used car in which the air bags were deployed

Resolved Question:

When buying a used car in which the air bags were deployed in a previous accident, but were not replaced, and this fact was not made apparent to the buyer by the dealer, does that buyer have any recourse even though the car was bought as is?

Thank you for allowing us to assist you with this problem. Unless you purchased a Salvage Title, then the dealer should have disclosed the lack of airbags to you. You can sue the dealer but prior to doing so I suggest that you contact your State Attorney General Office to file a deceptive practice complaint against the dealer to see if the Attorney General Office can resolve the problem for you without having to hire an attorney.
