Customer Question

if I co-sign on a home loan for my daughter and my name is XXXXX XXXXX deed, can my name come off the loan after a year of her making the payments on her own? I am 63 years old and on social security and can not afford to be stuck with a mortgage. I am willing to co-sign but I have to know that my name can come off the loan after a year. Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX toXXX@XXXXXX.XXX

No your name cannot come off unless she refinances. That is the only way. It may also be a problem for her if you are on the deed. If you go on Medicaid the state can place a lien on the home.
