Customer Question

I WAS SERVED WITH A MOTION FOR SEEKING ATTORNEYS FEES FROM THE PLAINTIFF ATTORNEY IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR. AS OF NOW, NO ACTON FROM OPPOSING COUNSEL HAS COMMENCED. IS THERE A TIME LIMIT OR SHOULD I ASSUME THEY GAVE UP?

Thank you for using JustAnswer!

When it comes to litigation, one should never assume.

On Monday, you should go to the court house, ask to review that court file, and see if any other action was taken on the case -- it's entirely possible that the motion was granted, denied, a clerk forgot to schedule a hearing, or the attorney withdrew the motion without telling you.

Good luck and best wishes for better days ahead. I hope that you find this information to be helpful and this answer to be ACCEPTable!
