my wife wants me to grant her power of attorney over my affairs

my wife wants me to grant her power of attorney over my affairs in case of my death. she is currently listed as my beneficiary on all accounts and on a substantial life insurance policy. do I need to give her power of attorney at this time? Thanks! Mark

Thank you for using JustAnswer!

A power of attorney automatically becomes null and void when the person dies. So, if you were to give her power of attorney, she could only use that paperwork as TP when you die.

Good luck and best wishes! I hope that you find this information to be helpful and this answer to be ACCEPTable!
