we have mandatory staff meetings once monthly, there are only

Resolved Question:

we have mandatory staff meetings once monthly, there are only 6 employees and 3 of us have the specific day off each month, our boss tells us to clock in at the start of the meeting and clock out when the meeting is over with the price of gas the three of us are making about 6.00 for being at the meeting and its also ruining our day off as we have to be at the meeting at noon. is there a mandatory pay we should be able to get for these meetings such as if we show up for a one hour meeting we can get paid for 2 or 3 hours. thank you

Have you checked with the Oregon labor department to see if they have any rules on this? they enforce wage and hour laws and the like.
